Message from the President & Medical Director

William Khieu, MD

Dr. William Khieu is native of Vietnam. He emigrated to the United States when he was 13 years old to Redwood City, California and has lived and worked in Northern California ever since. He received his undergraduate degree with High Honors at UC Davis, and went on to attend UC San Francisco for both School of Medicine and Residency training. He has been in practice in both academic and private sectors in the Central Coast with Athena Medical Group with multiple locations in Monterey County where he has served as Senior Medical Director for over 20 years.  He presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Monterey County Medical Society, The Cypress Foundation, CSUMB - College of Health Sciences Advisory Board, and the Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley.

Dr. Khieu’s passion is integrative medicine where patients and physicians work together to investigate the cause of illness in a comprehensive multi organs and multi systems approach.  He often encourages his patients to be cognizant of factors influencing health, wellness, and disease including mind, spirit, and body so that all treatments are personalized and most effective.
